Aikido Shudokan New DVDs
Aikido Practice and Purpose

Aikido Shudokan releases the second of two new DVDs. Titled Aikido - Practice & Purpose it is suited to martial artists of any budo. I found this really makes the link between the dojo and our everyday lives. With its focus being on Kihon Waza (Basic Technique), Oyo Waza (practical applications) and Goshin Jutsu (Self defence or Self protection).

Not very often do we ever see how our training in Aikido can be effective in dangerous and threatening situations and this DVD highlights the importance of Kihon Waza, and how it is the building block to developing Aiki.

Aikido Foundations

Shudokan presents Aikido - Foundations. This DVD serves as an excellent reference for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Packed full of extras it covers all basic techniques (Dai Ichi Kihon).

This DVD is catered for the Yoshinkan student, and it certainly would prove invaluable to practitioners of the Yoshinkan style of Aikido. The quality is great and verywell put together, showing each technique clearly and slowly enough so nothing is missed out, it helps as well to see different angels and we can read the Japanese name of techniques and then the English translation. As instructional DVD's go this is great and essential to additional training.
