unusual things to learn, coming from
a Japanese martial arts background.
One of the first things pointed out
to me was that I was "defending
the air". In The System, most of
the punches and kicks are blocked very
close to the body. In the Japanese martial
arts, they are blocked at least two
feet from the body, and this is what

There are other parts of the human
